from the bottom of a broken heart :)

first of all, im not heart broken -- my heart is very whole, and is in a very good condition (buyag!) -- i just decided to write about heartaches and break up's simply because im surrounded by couples breaking up, girlfriends crying, boyfriends drinking 'till their stomachs turn -- there's too much "sad drama" surrounding me right now that i just don't want to lose the "happy drama" i'm experiencing now --

i've been hurt before of course -- i've cried, i've cursed and i've wished people unwell, but i never got to the point of breaking down and go as low as self-pity -- i walk as if im one of the prettiest girls in the world but, what i know is that i'm smart and wise :p -- confidence, i know, that has always been my weapon :p

LOVERS come and go, and it's actually up to them if they wanna stay or not -- we cant do anything about it, but be the best that we can possibly be -- 

here's what i do after a breakup :

1) DIVERSION 

-- i party, i surround myself with friends, i clean the house, i write, i learn something new -- this takes ur mind off the pain -- i dont believe in the saying "time heals all wounds" -- you learn how live without it -- 

2) RIBBON CUTTING

-- delete them as a friend in FB, unfollow in twitter or even block them from viewing all your profiles -- it may sound bitter the first time, but after a long time, you'll just realize that you just dint want them in ur life anymore --

3) STOP CRYING ! 

-- cry like a baby ONCE, and only ONCE ! pour it out, doesnt matter if it sounds like a tsunami is coming, but pour your pains out -- ONLY ONCE -- coz there will come a point in your life that you will look back on that certain day and realize how stupid u are for crying that much -- crying never helps, it only worsens how u feel about urself, plus you'd look awful -- 

4) DON'T SEEK FOR REVENGE, JUST STAY PRETTY 

-- im a libra, so im too lazy for any confrontations, so i just sit , get my make up on and look damn GOOD :) looking beautiful and radiant is, and always will be the greatest revenge -- period.

just like everyone who lives in a tropical country and who hasn't experienced snow or a weather below 20 degrees celsius, snow is, and will always be, a fascination to us,.


i may, or may not, experience real snow, but hey, its not all-about being real.. its all about getting the feel of it, and believing you're actually THERE..

first of all, this isn't an ad for Be Resorts.. i'm just a customer who celebrated a 1st year anniversary with my boyfriend in BE who loved the place and the service .. 

what i love about BE :o (forgive me, but this blog will be a rain, thunder and storm of pictures .. i just cant help it.. this blog is a concrete example of how i changed as a human being :p )


1)as a kid, im into black, grays and whites.. but now, COLORS ! i thought of "happy thoughts" when i entered the hotel.. the ambience is soooo relax, the combination of colors is so drastic but is a perfect fit of what i was looking for.. polka dots circling me everywhere pah ! spell C-H-I-L-L ! colors for me before were irritating, disturbing and too cute-sy.. but now, its refreshing and happy :o

3) weird stuffs :) this is one the things that hasn't changed in me.. i still like stuffs that are wired in a different and personal way.. i like everything custom-made :)

i 'm 23 but i'm feeling like an adolescent these days who just reached puberty ! why ?

• severe breakout! yikes ! :( yes, pimple here, pimple there, almost everywhere ! my face is red and sore with these 'lil-tumor-like-gross-facial-elements that pops out wherever and whenever it wants to.. they don't even have the decency to at least pop out one at a time like they used to, they now pop out in numbers ! double yikes ! 

• baby fats :( well, this isn't really much of a problem coz it's definitely my fault.. i can't help it if i love eating.. the thing is, a girl is supposed to have "bil-bil" and chubby cheeks when we're around 13-15 years old.. coca-cola body's supposed to start at 16 and continue throughout our 20's while coke-in-can bodies after pregnancy.. in my case, i had coca cola body in puberty, "bil-bil" and chubby cheeks at 20 ! good thing i DON'T HAVE coke-in-can body yet, or else, i'll make today THE END OF THE WORLD !

• confused state.. lemme explain before your eyes roll out from your sockets .. i'm not confused with my identity.. i know i'm a 100% girl.. and d**ks are still my thing than v****as, okay ? kidding aside, i'm bored with my look.. the problem is, i'm not sure if i should wear my hair long or would short be better.. if i should have it colored or not.. long or straight.. i should've had this problem when i was 13 ! but nope, when i was 13, i've always known that wavy long hair is the way to go.. now at 23 ~~~~~~~ i have no idea and my mind is completely _________ -- blank !

the dreaded BOREDOM monster is back ! DARN !

familiar huh ? used this statement as my fb status and tweeted this away numerous times already .. 


i seem to come across this statement a lot of times over the course of 23 years i've been gladly alive .. and now that i'm savaged with this predicament, yet again, i've thought of ways on how to maximize and still be productive on my "boring" day instead of going back to the old impulsive me and do things i know i will regret after.. 


here are the things i do (from the least likely to the most likely) when a boring day haunts me ..

5 ) 

-- i write :) i may not be the best writer there is but i do write .. i dont write as often as i breathe, that's because i need a very strong emotion to be able to get a pen and write on my trusted small yellow notebook.. since i cant carry my netbook anywhere and just blog easily, i carry this small yellow notebook wherever i go to satisfy the itch whenever my hands crave to just write anything away.. i dont normally know when and where the itch would start but what i do know, is that if i dont get to write at that time, you'd expect me to be in a very sour mood.. i'd definitely go looking for any pen and paper! see ? i'm just crazy when the need to write arises.. and if i do start writing or when i'm blogging, i cant seem to stop and just babble anything away ! or worse, since a lot of things are crossing my mind, i won't know where to start and just proceed doodling with my name simply because i have to write something ! now that i'm blogging about my insanity (sometimes), i'm starting to think as to why i'm wired like this.. and when i start to think why, i'd give reasons, and when i give reasons, i write the reasons, and this blog won't end.. hahahahahah.. so there ! now i know you understand my craziness with writing! on to number 4 ! hahhahaha :)))

-- go for a very good swim :) i love swimming !! pool or beach, it doesnt matter which, so long as i get to swim .. i love the feeling of being surrounded by water.. its calming and its soothing.. it relaxes me and gets me away from the city-feel for a while.. submerging myself in the water blocks all noise in the surrounding and makes me feel alone but not lonely .. i feel so alive being in the water and i really have no idea why.. i practically grew up in the water.. when i was a kid, me and my family lived near the beach so every weekend, its a pure must to pack our stuff and head out to the beach and just have some family fun.. or when my grandparents are not feeling so well, to the beach my family goes ! the great thing about swimming, is that its known as a good exercise as well .. i get to work out without being stressed and pressured while doing what i love best! if given the choice, swimming would be number 1 in this list, but sadly, i don't live near the beach and i don't have a pool, i'd settle this to be at number 4.. but remember, everyday is a chance for a good vacation, so take it as it comes ! :) swimming + me = perfections baby ! :)) 

3 ) 

-- read a book :) yes, i know ! i know ! some of you guys might find reading still boring and unproductive .. but i love it ! i'm a self confessed bookworm and i love how a book triggers my mind to release the creativity in me .. from the books that i read, i get to travel to different places.. from the real ones to the ones outside of this world.. from renaissance ball gowns-and-petticoats-England to the "William & Kate" England that we know now.. i like how King's Cross station look and getting that giddy feeling that somewhere between platforms 3 & 4, a platform 3 1/4 MIGHT exist which routes you to a wizarding world .. when i see rabbits run, i imagine it scurrying through an ordinary rabbit hole which MAY house muffins that make us very BIG then makes us very small  after.. and hey ! most of the best known movies nowadays came from books ! message in a bottle, the last song, a walk to remember and the notebook, all by nicholas sparks.. Lord of the Rings trilogy of course from JRR Tolkien.. Harry Potter by J.K Rowling.. and who didn't love vampire-human-werewolf story of Twilight series by Stephenie Meyers ? i do hope though that whenever i read, i read in a park or in a beach somewhere.. but The Philippines don't house that much park and public beaches.. so i remain in the comforts of my room while my mind drifts to England, Spain, Portugal etc :)

2 ) 

-- watching movieSSS :) i placed "SSS" there coz i just love all kinds of movie ! and i mean ALL ! i can't say there's a bad movie ever made in the history of the entire industry coz movies are supposed to entertain us .. if you didn't like the movie, that's because the genre isn't your type but that doesn't make the movie bad.. right ? :) i watch any type of movie so there's no particular genre that i call my favorite.. but there are genres that i just NEED to watch in the theater and there are some genres that i only watch in dvds.. example, sci fi  movies with great combat scenes are my "theater-must" movie.. i like to see the combat scenes in the big picture and i like to see the main actors run for their life ! i like saving-the-universe type of movies.. transformers, super 8, star wars, the andromeda strain, matrix, chronicles of Riddick,and Blade series.. but the best sci fi movie for me ? its still ET ! hehehheh.. right now, im hyping about super heroes ! "when i grow up i wanna be a super hero!" hahahaha.. who would forget wolverine and storm, mr fantastic and invisible woman, clark kent and lois lane ? yes ! x-men, fantastic four, superman.. but my fave super hero u may ask ? its batman ! yes, he still has the same funny costume of a super hero.. a mask and he still wears his underwear outside ! but i like the fact that he doesn't have super powers, instead, he boasts his out-of-this-world gadgets just like James Bond.. oh, i love him too.. Bond, James Bond.. i love fantasy movies.. Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings.. i like animations too but only those which boasts of hype colors and are shown in imax or 3d.. "It's soooo fluffy i'm gonna die!" by Agnes of Impeccable Me ? she's my fave! i'm a scaredy-cat but i still love suspense movies.. i like the feeling that FAITH is always where we turn to when science fails to explain a certain phenomenon.. which always sends tingles to my spine :) now the rest are my "dvd-only" movies.. chic flicks and comedies :) don't boo-hoo me coz i still watch them, just not much as those action movies.. what can i say? i just happen to have a thing for men who saves the world and as a woman, i wanna be like Maggie Q in Priest, who kicks ass in her heels .. :)

-- happy thoughts ! :) can't get the hang of it ? well, lemme put it this way.. i love colors.. i love my things to be colorful .. i love the color yellow coz its soo sunny and charming ! so there ! when i'm bored, it stresses me out.. when i'm stressed and when things aren't going my way, my mantra is, and always will be "happy thoughts!" at times when i can't think of a happy memory, i just think of colors, balloons, polka dots and my fave lollipop .. yes ! i love lollipops.. chupa chups anyone ? hahahaha.. i'm into graffiti's now as well.. i may not know anyone who does graffiti or i may not have the talent to make one, but i'm adoring and loving the artists creativity.. i honestly think that the world be a happier place if we see clean graffiti's everywhere.. happy thoughts is clearly the cheapest, the easiest and has been the most effective way to free me of my boredom.. and where does maximizing my time and being productive comes in thinking of happy thoughts, you ask ? well, since this has been, by far, the most effective way of bringing me out of my boredom state, i get to do the things that needs to be done.. and most importantly, i get back on my feet and stay far away from that effin' boredom ! :)

AND THE RESULT ?

-- everyday is a VACATION ! yes, i got to insert my parting jumpshot ! but of course ! woooohooo! :)

MEMORABLE !


this vacay is my most memorable vacation ever.. this isn't my first time to go to Siq.. i've been there in the time when people there didn't know what Piattos (yes, the chips) was.. i'd like to say t'was around 2003-2004.. Piattos at that time was Php 15 nah, but them ? they have no idea what Piattos was.. i may have laughed at that time, but when i think and reminisce about it now, it showed me how slow-paced life in Siquijor is.. the island is so small that people there knew each other.. i was bata pa then, and having heard of the "mambabarang" issue, of course, i didn't get to enjoy the scenes and the "photo-perfect" moments afraid of being bewitched.. sayang diba ? and so, i made it sure to go back.. and i did..  


what made this year's vacay to Siq memorable isn't the fact that i'm big nah and i've learned nah mambabarangs don't hurt if you haven't caused them anything bad.. but it's the fact nah i'm with my family.. it's not our first family vacay, BUT, it's the first family vacay that me and sister splurged for.. a treat to my parents' hard work.. i only had 1 wish : SUN, PLEASE COME OUT ! lemme tell u the story :)

we rode a tricycle for our 1 whole day tour.. first stop is :

gladly, the weather cooperated and gave me the sun that i needed.. obvious bah ? super init ! but surprisingly, the water was sooooo cool.. and it's soo mahangin.. i guess it's because the Siquijor people were able to preserve mother nature's gift.. super daming trees :) next stop :

the century old balete tree.. one word: ETHEREAL in a spooky yet elegant way.. spooky coz the place is soooo quiet.. just like in the old Shake Rattle and Roll movie? with Aiza Seguerra and a tree in the park nah merong not-from-this-world nah creature nah kumukuha ng bata ? ganun ang na.feel ko ! but it's elegant.. super ! standing tall like that, chin up kung chin up ang lola ! hahah.. but seriously, it's well preserved.. the donation box placed there isn't put to waste.. i didn't mind giving the donation coz i know it's for the good of this balate.. well, off to the next destination ! 

the hidden falls of Cambugahay .. juice ko ! malayo-layo ang linakad ko just to get here.. wa poise ka if u slip kaya super duper careful in going down.. i dunnoh how many steps, but madami ! and not to mention, super steep xa.. kaya sadly, it's not safe for oldies to go here.. the waterfalls sana is very clean but the steep stairs ? not safe :( so, NEXT ! 

the guiwanon nature spring park.. the concept of this spring park is soo cute.. ♥ it ! its all made of bamboo (if i'm not mistaken), ai basta made of kahoy xa lahat.. those nipa huts are named after some endangered species here sah pinas, and it doesn't conform to the airconditioned rooms we expect, no electric fans as well ! hangin lang talaga.. mamuhay lupa ka kung di ka sanay sah hangin nah dala ni mother nature.. i would've wanted to try if i wasn't with my parents.. so next time, makakamura pah ako ! hahahah.. where's the spring u may ask ? i asked that as well ! but here it is .. 

kita n'yo agad ? me, hindi ! it took me quite a while to realize that the spring is within the sea ! hahahh.. that part where my papa is pointing ? that's the bukal or the source.. and it's really bubbling., parang boiling.. but its a cold spring, not hot.. it's nice here.. type ko ! :)))


well, that's our last stop.. we got to visit churches as well, but i honestly forgot the name of the churches.. here's my fave church sah Siq.. 

this church is the one in Larena.. and would you believe nah those paintings at the background are all hand-painted ? nice noh? mas amazing coz the entire church is covered with hand-painted angels! its soo nice.. another donation put to good use.. di corrupt ang mga tao dito ! hahahah.. 


and of course, after the sight-seeing and the peyktur2x .. lafangan ang show ! tom jones ang lahat ! deadma sah barangan.. kung ibabarang, bahala nah ! hahahah.. kidding aside, we found this very popular resto.. a lot of tourists go here coz sarap talaga daw.. and so, try din kami ! 

i honestly forgot the name of the resto but sarap ng food nila there.. wala masyadong spices, which i ♥, but super malasa pah . i don't like spices kasi, too strong.. 


we stayed in .. 

Diamond de Siquijor.. super affordable and accomodating ng owner.. owner ha, not staff.. hands-on! the entire room is made of bamboo.. airconditioned.. and beach-front pah.. u really get the feeling that you're out of the city coz in the morning, super mahangin, and the nipa roof gives a "woooshing" sound.. province nah province ! i ♥.. :)


Siquijor is definitely out of this world.. not in a scary way, but in a good way of course.. like a 7 course meal, this island offers a variety of stops and destinations that will surely make u full.. but contrary to a 7 course meal, u achieve the fullness and satisfaction in a friendly price .. mas nice ! :))
